  • Information that you provide to us when we speak to you by telephone. We may make and keep a record of the phone call and information you share with us.
  • Information that you provide to us by completing surveys. We may ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.
  • Details of transactions you carry out with us, including through Our Site, Our Platform and of the fulfilment of your orders.
  • Details of your visits to Our Site and Our Platform including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.
  • Information obtained by us from third parties in accordance with the Act.

IP Addresses And Cookies

Our site may request your permission in order to collect information about your visit. Such information is limited to basic data including where available, your IP address and statistical data about your browsing actions and patterns. This data collects information that may be personally identifiable.

We work closely with Partner Organisations (“Third Parties”) (including business partners, sub-contractors in technical, payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics and search information providers) and may receive personal data about you from them. Such data obtained from Third Parties will be kept in accordance with the same duty of care as described in this Privacy Policy, and with any additional restrictions imposed by the Third Party that shared your personal data.

By using our service you agree that:

  • Partner Organisations can obtain and provide us with industry information about meters, including current, future and historical import and export generation and usage, that you have a right to obtain and use under data protection laws. This may be up to 3 years and may include half hourly data, where available.
  • Partner Organisations may create aggregated, anonymised data based on the information collected about these meter(s). This data helps to understand general load profiles in the energy sector, as well as energy trends. Partner Organisations may use this data to improve their services, or for other research and commercial purposes. Partner Organisations are data controllers for the purposes of providing these services.
  • We also share your personal data with third-party service providers to assist us with insight analytics. These Partner Organisations can act as a Data Processor(s) to collect individuals’ website and platform usage data to help us understand the usability of Our Site and Our Platform. Partner Organisation Data Officers can assist further in relation to your rights under GDPR and generally, concerning the aspects where they work with us. We may also allow Third Parties to provide audience measurement and analytics services for us in order to ensure the safe and smooth operation of Our Site and Our Platform. These entities may use cookies and other technologies to identify devices used by visitors to Our Site or Our Platform as well as when they visit other online services and sites. Please note that our advertisers may also use cookies, over which we have no control. We will never sell your data to Third Parties or otherwise share it with non-agent Third Parties.

Where We Store And Process Your Personal Data

Access To Information

The Act gives you the right to access certain information held by us about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

Any changes we may make to our Privacy Policy in the future will be posted on this page, and, where appropriate, may be notified to you by e-mail.
